Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required. ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire, required. Additional Skills (required): NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background Check, renewed every 5 years. BSAC if working with school age children. If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required. Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. What You'll Do: Job responsibilities: Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and other relevant clinical information. Assist providers with in-office procedures, including Botox treatments and other patient care activities. Complete and maintain accurate patient documentation, forms, and medical records. Communicate effectively with providers and patients to coordinate care, address questions, and ensure a positive patient experience.

What We Offer: The Event Medicine Emergency Medical Technician must have the ability to provide basic life support to patients from neonate throughout the geriatric years in the pre-hospital setting at special events. Must function as a patient care provider in conjunction with a Registered Nurse and a Paramedic in accordance with approved departmental policies, procedures and protocols. What We're Looking For: Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: Three years experience as an EMT, required. Must at time of hire maintain affiliation with an Emergency Medical Services pre hospital provider that has EMT's as part of their staff. The EMT must be in good standing without restrictions, required. Licensure / Certifications: Valid drivers license, required. Current NC-EMT certification, required. Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required. Must have ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age, as well as health and developmental needs. Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written documentation. Excellent customer service skills are required.
